As a ux/ui designer, I love tackling complex problems people face in their everyday lives. Building products that bring people joy and help them with the challenges they face is what motivates me. I have a strong focus on visual design and enjoy managing design systems. Well-crafted typography is a speciality of mine and plays a major role in my work as a designer.
Since my master’s degree in interface design in 2021, I’ve been working on the barmer digital patient file as a ux/ui designer. As part of the design team, I’m responsible for the user experience of more than one million app users and 8.8 million people trusting Germany’s biggest health insurance. Constantly refining and developing the design system, on which all barmer apps are based, is one of my favourite tasks. Thanks to my experience in automotive in-car ux, I’m able to handle complex design systems and create scalable ui solutions for apps and the web.
Besides my day job, I contribute to HealthIcons, an open-source icon library. Our mission is to build high-quality icons available in the public domain for healthcare projects all over the world.
As a first-generation student, I also support the education initiative Arbeiterkind e.V. in their dedicated work for equal academic opportunities in Germany. I’m proud to be an alumna of the talent program from the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the Deutschlandstipendium.
